From the nations to the nations

Pastor Marcos Reversat, a dedicated leader, has been an integral part of Iglesia Bautista Ciudad de Dios in San Juan, Puerto Rico, since its inception in 2019. In January 2022, he was commissioned to embark on a new chapter, spearheading the establishment of Iglesia Bautista Ciudad de Dios in his native Ciudad de Encarnación, Paraguay. Under Pastor Reversat's leadership, the church has flourished, and its impact is expanding. Currently, they are running a Church Planting Residency with the goal to plant two new churches—one in Asunción, Paraguay, and another in Posadas, Argentina. This growth exemplifies our commitment not only to local communities but also to the broader mission of spreading faith and creating lasting positive change in diverse regions.

Through our home church, Iglesia Bautista Ciudad de Dios, established in 2019, we have effectively trained and commissioned nine church planters in Puerto Rico, one in Paraguay, and dispatched two missionaries to serve in North Africa and the Middle East (N.A.M.E). Over the past five years, our church has demonstrated a strong dedication to expanding its reach and influence. During this time, we have proudly sent a total of 68 members to actively participate in the core groups of the nine churches we've planted. We are steadfast in our commitment to spreading the message of Christ in Puerto Rico by preparing called men and sending them to various parts of the island. Moreover, we are devoted to participating in the global work that the Lord is orchestrating.

The Llambes family, seasoned missionaries with a rich history of service in the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Mexico, spent several impactful months with us in Puerto Rico. In response to a higher calling, Pastor Carlos started Iglesia Bautista Ciudad de Gracia in 2022. Our goal is to partner with them in finding a suitable location for their expanding congregation. Additionally, we are committed to developing a Church Planting Residency to empower individuals to plant churches across the country. This collaborative effort reflects our shared vision of nurturing communities and spreading the message of grace and faith throughout Panama.

In May 2022, we were extended a gracious invitation to visit Cuba. During our visit to La Habana, we had the privilege of connecting with a beloved church that expressed a need for support in acquiring materials and curriculum to develop their own network. Recognizing the opportunity to collaborate and extend our mission, we spent a week engaging with the local community. During our visit, we established a profound partnership with Pastor Vanier Mariño, who had received training in La Habana before being sent to establish Iglesia Bíblica Niquero on the Southside of the Island. Since its inception, Pastor Vanier and the church have played a pivotal role in making a meaningful impact on their community. This stands as a testament to our shared commitment to spreading the message of Christ and positively influencing lives.

Last October, Pastor Daniel Puerto began meetings with the intention of officially launching the Iglesia Bíblica Metropolitana in the southern area of Guadalajara, Mexico. The group has experienced rapid growth, prompting the need to secure a suitable location to establish the church. Assistance is required for covering the rent and necessary renovations. Our intention is to provide support in this undertaking because Pastor Daniel plans to establish a Church Planting Residency from that location. The objective is to equip men, and in the years ahead, expand their outreach to encompass the entirety of Guadalajara.

In 2018, Felix had the honor of preaching and sharing in Iglesia Bíblica del Señor Jesucristo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Although the church had been planted 40 years earlier, it had not ventured into church planting. Following numerous meetings, discussions, and a meticulous planning process, the church made a historic decision. In 2019, they sent two of their pastors and over 50 dedicated members to plant Iglesia Bíblica Sola Gracia. This transformative step marked the beginning of a new chapter for the church. Today, Iglesia Bíblica Sola Gracia are actively working to establish a network throughout the Dominican Republic, envisioning a movement that will give rise to new churches across the entire country. We initiated discussions with them, aiming to be privileged participants in this significant endeavor. Our goal is to assist in establishing the Church Planting Residency, working together to contribute to the growth, flourishing of communities, and the widespread propagation of the Gospel in the Dominican Republic.

Since last summer, we have received interest from the Fellowship of Brazilian Baptist Churches in North America to collaborate with them and adapt the curriculum we've developed for the Church Planting Residency into Portuguese. They are highly interested in equipping their churches to initiate new, healthy congregations. Additionally, if we can translate and adapt our curriculums into Portuguese, they express a desire for us to extend our reach to Portuguese-speaking countries. This is driven by the pressing need to train individuals to plant churches in these regions. Given this reality, our aspiration is to recruit a leader who can take charge of addressing the growing need within this population, not only in North America but also in Portuguese-speaking countries.

D&M family will be serving as missionaries in a city in Middle East North Africa, where only around 40-60 believers exist in a population of 1.5 million, with 99% of the population adhering to Islam. They will work in an existing local church, focusing on language acquisition, cultural assimilation, and overseeing the Pastoral Internship Program and translation projects nationwide. This effort is crucial due to the scarcity of resources in the local language, including incomplete Bible translation, lack of doctrinal literature, and worship music.
